Engine Fluids, Gear Oil & Filter Specifications
| Specification Parameter | OEM Factory Technical Value |
|---|---|
| Engine Oil Viscosity & Standard | SAE 10W-30 | API SG/SL | JASO MB Standard |
| Engine Oil Drain & Refill Capacity | 0.6L (without filter / drain) / 0.7L (total capacity) |
| Final Drive / Gearbox Oil & Capacity | SAE 10W-30 / 80W-90 | 100ml (drain) / 120ml (total) |
| OEM Oil Filter Part Number | Strainer Screen OEM # 15421-107-000 (Clean with solvent at drain interval) |
| OEM Air Filter Element Part Number | OEM # 17213-GET-000 (Air cleaner element) |
| Spark Plug Model & Electrode Gap | NGK ER9EH-6N | Electrode Gap: 0.6-0.7mm (0.024-0.028 in) |
Expert Maintenance Note: Due to the small oil sump capacity (0.6L drain), maintaining clean JASO MB 10W-30 oil is essential to prevent thermal degradation on the 50cc GET engine. Always clean the oil strainer screen (OEM # 15421-107-000) during oil changes. Cross-reference specifications with the Honda Metropolitan CHF50 Master Guide.
CVT Transmission System
| Component | CVT Drive Belt |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | 23100-GEZ-003 |
| Dimensions | 18.0 mm width x 734 mm length |
| Torque Spec | Drive face nut: 39 Nm (29 lbf·ft) |
| Cross-Compatibility | Honda Metropolitan (CHF50) |
Field note: 39 Nm is light by CVT standards, and using a 1/2" impact wrench on this small variator nut almost guarantees over-torque, warping the drive face and causing premature belt glazing. Hand-torque with a small-capacity wrench and confirm the belt seats fully in both pulley grooves before final tightening.
Fuel System
| Component | Fuel Pump Assembly |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | 16710-GET-013 |
| Dimensions/Notes | 12V Electromagnetic |
| Torque Spec | Mounting bolts: 10 Nm |
| Fluid Spec | Unleaded gasoline only |
| Cross-Compatibility | Honda Metropolitan (CHF50) |
Field note: Over-tightening the fuel pump mounting bolts beyond 10 Nm can crack the pump's plastic housing, creating a slow fuel weep that is a genuine fire hazard on an air-cooled engine bay. Always inspect the mounting gasket for hardening or cracking before reuse rather than relying on fastener torque alone to prevent leaks.
Ignition System
| Component | Spark Plug |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | NGK ER9EH-6N |
| Dimensions | 8mm thread, 19mm reach |
| Torque Spec | 12 Nm (9 lbf·ft) |
| Electrode Gap | 0.6 - 0.7 mm |
| Cross-Compatibility | Honda Metropolitan |
Field note: The 8mm thread on this plug is smaller and more fragile than the common 10mm/12mm automotive-style plugs mechanics are used to. Cross-threading during install is the most common failure mode reported in the field — always start the plug by hand until it turns freely for at least two full rotations before using a wrench, and never exceed 12 Nm.
Engine Internals: Cylinder Head & Crankshaft
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12100-GEZ-003 | 1 | Head Comp., Cylinder | Finned aluminum, resurface flatness < 0.05mm |
| 12210-GEZ-003 | 1 | Valve, Exhaust | Check margin thickness > 0.5mm before reuse |
| 12200-GEZ-003 | 1 | Valve, Inlet | Do not swap positions with exhaust valve |
| 12251-GEZ-003 | 1 | Gasket, Cylinder Head | Single-use metal composite |
| 14100-GEZ-003 | 1 | Camshaft Comp. | Chain-driven; inspect lobe wear before reinstall |
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 13300-GEZ-003 | 1 | Crankshaft Comp. | Check runout < 0.03mm on V-blocks |
| 13210-GEZ-003 | 1 | Connecting Rod | Big-end side clearance spec: 0.1-0.4mm |
| 13010-GEZ-003 | 1 | Piston (Std.) | Flat-top piston, 3-ring set |
| 13111-GEZ-003 | 1 | Piston Pin | Lightly oil before install; hand-pressure fit only |
| 13115-GEZ-003 | 2 | Piston Pin Clip (Circlip) | Directional installation — see expert note below |
Field note: On this exposed-frame small-bore single, the piston pin circlips must be fitted with their
opening gap 90° to the direction of piston travel, never fore-or-aft. A backward clip compresses
under inertial load on every stroke until it walks out of its groove and ejects into the crankcase, and
the freed pin gouges the cylinder wall on the following stroke, destroying the bore. Use only new clips
and confirm full seating by feel before closing the case halves.

Field note: The Ruckus's exposed-frame design means its few plastic panels are directly sun-exposed on
all sides rather than shielded by surrounding bodywork, accelerating the typical UV brittleness timeline
at the mounting tabs. Never use an impact driver on body screws, and apply silicone grease to rubber
grommets before removal to minimize flex stress on already-exposed tabs.
