Kymco Agility 125 - Master Maintenance & Torque Guide

The Kymco Agility 125 steps up to a GY6-based 125cc variator with proportionally higher clamping loads than its 50cc sibling. This is one of the most widely cross-compatible CVT belts in the GY6 125/150cc family, which makes correct drive face nut torque even more important — a mismatch here is often blamed on "the wrong belt" when the real fault is a loose or over-torqued variator nut.

Field note: The Agility 125 GY6 engine uses a cleanable wire mesh oil strainer screen (15421-1G07-001) under the 17mm drain plug spring. Clean with solvent at every oil change. Drain volume is strictly 0.8L; overfilling leads to crankcase pressure buildup blowing oil into the airbox.

13115-KGF-9012Piston Pin Clip (Circlip)Directional installation — see expert note below
Field note: On this 125cc GY6-derived engine, the piston pin circlips must be installed with the opening gap oriented 90° to the direction of piston travel, never fore-or-aft. A clip installed backward compresses under inertial load on every stroke until it walks out of its groove and ejects into the crankcase, and the freed pin gouges the cylinder wall on the following stroke, destroying the bore. Use only new clips, and confirm full seating by feel before closing the case halves.

Field note: Kymco's painted plastic panels become progressively brittle at the mounting tabs after a few years of continuous UV exposure, even when the paint surface still looks presentable. Never use an impact driver on body screws, and apply silicone grease (never petroleum-based) to rubber grommets before removal so panels flex free without cracking.
