Kymco Like 150i (ABS) - Master Maintenance & Torque Guide

The Kymco Like 150i uses a fuel-injected 4-valve engine, and its air filter housing is purpose-built for this cylinder head — unlike many of Kymco's shared-platform parts, this element is not interchangeable with other displacement classes. Getting the low-torque cover fasteners right matters just as much on this "unique fitment" part as it does on higher-torque drivetrain components.

13115-LGR4-E002Piston Pin Clip (Circlip)Directional installation — see expert note below
Field note: On this unique 4-valve engine with no cross-compatible parts, mistakes during a piston service are especially costly to correct. The piston pin circlips must be installed with the opening gap oriented 90° to piston travel, never fore-or-aft — a backward clip compresses under load until it ejects into the crankcase, and the freed pin gouges the cylinder wall on the next stroke. With four valves per cylinder rather than two, also take extra care not to drop a valve into the bore during head reassembly.

Field note: Kymco's painted plastic panels become progressively brittle at the mounting tabs after a few years of continuous UV exposure. Never use an impact driver on body screws, and apply silicone grease (never petroleum-based) to rubber grommets before removal so panels flex free without cracking.
