Engine Fluids, Gear Oil & Filter Specifications
| Specification Parameter | OEM Factory Technical Value |
|---|---|
| Engine Oil Viscosity & Standard | SAE 10W-30 | API SG/SL | JASO MB Standard |
| Engine Oil Drain & Refill Capacity | 0.7L (without filter / drain) / 0.8L (total capacity) |
| Final Drive / Gearbox Oil & Capacity | SAE 10W-30 / 80W-90 | 100ml (drain) / 120ml (total) |
| OEM Oil Filter Part Number | Strainer Screen OEM # 15421-107-000 (Clean screen with solvent at oil change) |
| OEM Air Filter Element Part Number | OEM # 17210-GFM-900 (Viscous paper filter) |
| Spark Plug Model & Electrode Gap | NGK CPR7EA-9 | Electrode Gap: 0.8-0.9mm | Torque: 16 Nm |
Expert Maintenance Note: Always utilize JASO MB specified 10W-30 engine oil on the Honda Elite 110. Inspect and clean the internal oil strainer screen (OEM # 15421-107-000) during oil drain service. Final reduction gear oil capacity is 100ml on drain and 120ml on total fill.
CVT Transmission System
| Component | CVT Drive Belt |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | 23100-GFM-901 |
| Dimensions | 785 x 19 mm |
| Torque Spec | Drive face nut: 54 Nm (40 lbf·ft) |
| Cross-Compatibility | Honda Lead 110 |
Field note: The NHX110's crankshaft taper is noticeably thinner than on larger Honda CVT platforms. Over-torquing the drive face nut past 54 Nm warps the variator face and induces belt slap and premature glazing, while under-torquing lets the nut work loose at sustained highway RPM — and once that taper spins on the crank, the crankshaft itself is compromised, not just the nut. Torque in a single controlled pull with the crank properly locked, never with an impact driver.
Engine Internals: Cylinder Head & Crankshaft
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12100-GFM-901 | 1 | Head Comp., Cylinder | Finned aluminum, resurface flatness < 0.05mm |
| 12210-GFM-901 | 1 | Valve, Exhaust | Check margin thickness > 0.5mm before reuse |
| 12200-GFM-901 | 1 | Valve, Inlet | Do not swap positions with exhaust valve |
| 12251-GFM-901 | 1 | Gasket, Cylinder Head | Single-use metal composite |
| 14100-GFM-901 | 1 | Camshaft Comp. | Chain-driven; inspect lobe wear before reinstall |
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 13300-GFM-901 | 1 | Crankshaft Comp. | Thin crank taper — check runout < 0.03mm |
| 13210-GFM-901 | 1 | Connecting Rod | Big-end side clearance spec: 0.1-0.4mm |
| 13010-GFM-901 | 1 | Piston (Std.) | Flat-top piston, 3-ring set |
| 13111-GFM-901 | 1 | Piston Pin | Lightly oil before install; hand-pressure fit only |
| 13115-GFM-901 | 2 | Piston Pin Clip (Circlip) | Directional installation — see expert note below |
Field note: The piston pin circlips on this small-bore single must be fitted with their opening gap 90°
to the direction of piston travel — never fore-or-aft. A backward clip compresses under load on
every stroke until it walks out of its groove and ejects into the crankcase, and the unretained pin
gouges the cylinder wall on the following stroke, destroying the bore. Always use new clips and confirm
full seating by feel before closing the case halves.

Field note: This platform's painted plastic body panels become progressively brittle at the mounting tabs
after roughly three years of continuous UV exposure. Never use an impact driver on body screws —
the torque spike snaps a brittle tab instantly — and apply silicone grease (never petroleum-based)
to rubber grommets before removal so the panel can flex free without cracking.
