Engine Fluids, Gear Oil & Filter Specifications
| Engine Oil Viscosity & JASO/API Standard | SAE 5W-40 Full Synthetic (API SL/SM, JASO MA/MA2) |
|---|---|
| Engine Oil Drain & Refill Capacity | 1.0 L (Without Filter) / 1.1 L (With Filter) |
| Final Drive / Gearbox Oil Viscosity & Volume | SAE 80W-90 GL-4 (200 ml) |
| OEM Oil Filter Part Number | 82635R / 1A006365 |
| OEM Air Filter Element Part Number | 1B000806 |
| Spark Plug Model & Electrode Gap | NGK CR8EB (Electrode gap: 0.7 - 0.8 mm) |
Field note: The 3-Valve i-Get 150cc engine is sensitive to oil level precision. Always thread check or resting dipstick check according to Piaggio service protocols, replacing both the oil and spin-on filter cartridge every 6,000 km. Gearbox oil requires exactly 200 ml of SAE 80W-90 GL-4. For cross-reference specs on identical powertrain components, consult the complete Vespa Sprint 150 oil and transmission spec guide and the Piaggio Liberty 150 master guide.
Transmission System
| Component | Transmission Drive Belt |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | B017411 |
| Dimensions | 798 x 21.5 mm |
| Torque Spec | Driven pulley nut: 55-60 Nm |
| Cross-Compatibility | Vespa Sprint 150 (i-Get) |
Field note: Under-torquing this driven pulley nut below 55 Nm allows gradual clamping force loss that presents as a "new belt slipping" complaint identical to a worn belt, sending mechanics chasing the wrong root cause. Always re-torque and inspect after the first 200 miles following any belt service on this platform.
Braking System
| Component | Rear Brake Shoes |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | 647161 |
| Dimensions | 140 x 25 mm |
| Torque Spec | Rear wheel nut: 104-126 Nm |
| Cross-Compatibility | Vespa Sprint 150 |
Field note: The rear wheel nut torque (104-126 Nm) is unusually high because the rear wheel bearing and brake drum are integrated with this fastener on the Vespa's unique single-sided rear suspension — under-torquing it doesn't just risk a loose wheel, it also affects brake shoe centering inside the drum, leading to a pulsing or grabbing rear brake feel. Always torque within the specified range using a wrench rated for this upper limit.
Ignition System
| Component | Spark Plug |
|---|---|
| OEM Part Number | NGK CR8EB |
| Dimensions | 10mm thread, 19mm reach |
| Torque Spec | 12-14 Nm |
| Electrode Gap | 0.7 - 0.8 mm |
| Cross-Compatibility | Vespa Sprint 150 (3V) |
Field note: Do not exceed 14 Nm on this plug — the i-Get 3-valve head has a shorter thread engagement than older 2-valve Vespa heads, and over-torquing strips it more easily than mechanics used to classic Vespas would expect. Confirm the 0.7-0.8mm gap with a wire gauge, since a pre-gapped plug from the shelf is not guaranteed to match this specific engine's spec.
Engine Internals: Cylinder Head & Crankshaft
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| B017102 | 1 | Head Comp., Cylinder | i-Get 3-valve design shared with Sprint 150; resurface flatness < 0.05mm |
| B017115 | 1 | Valve, Exhaust | Check margin thickness > 0.5mm before reuse |
| B017122 | 2 | Valve, Inlet | Two intake valves per 3-valve design |
| B017140 | 1 | Gasket, Head Cyl. | Single-use metal composite; never reuse |
| B017165 | 1 | Camshaft Comp. | Chain-driven; inspect all three lobes for wear |
| Part No. | Qty | Part Name | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| B017210 | 1 | Crankshaft Comp. | Check runout < 0.03mm on V-blocks |
| B017225 | 1 | Connecting Rod | Big-end side clearance spec: 0.1-0.4mm |
| B017250 | 1 | Piston (Std.) | Domed piston for 3-valve combustion chamber |
| B017265 | 1 | Piston Pin | Lightly oil before install; hand-pressure fit only |
| B017270 | 2 | Piston Pin Clip (Circlip) | Directional installation — see expert note below |
Field note: On this i-Get 3-valve engine shared with the Sprint 150, the piston pin circlips must be
installed with the opening gap oriented 90° to piston travel, never fore-or-aft. A backward clip
compresses under load until it ejects into the crankcase, and the freed pin gouges the cylinder wall on
the next stroke, destroying the bore. Use only new clips and confirm full seating by feel.
OEM Body Panels & Color Matching

Field note: Vespa's steel body panels become brittle at the metal mounting flanges after years of UV and
moisture exposure, with rust forming under chipped paint at screw points. Never use an impact driver on
body screws, and apply light anti-seize or silicone grease to screw threads before reinstallation.
