Field note: The 4-stroke Vino Classic 50 engine utilizes an internal wire mesh strainer cap. Clean the mesh screen with aerosol solvent during oil drains. Field note: Even though this battery physically fits the Zuma 50 and Honda Metropolitan, always verify the CCA (cold cranking amps) rating matches the specific starter/ignition load of the scooter it's going into — a battery that "fits" is not automatically the correct electrical match. Use a screwdriver, never a wrench, on the terminal screws; stripped terminal posts on this sealed unit cannot be repaired and require full battery replacement.

Field note: On this small-bore retro-styled single, the piston pin circlips must be installed with the opening gap oriented 90° to piston travel, never fore-or-aft. A backward clip compresses under inertial load until it walks out of its groove and ejects into the crankcase, and the freed pin gouges the cylinder wall on the following stroke, destroying the bore on an engine with very little material margin to absorb damage. Use only new clips and confirm full seating by feel.

Field note: The Vino Classic's retro-styled painted panels use the same UV-sensitive plastic mounting tabs found across Yamaha's small-displacement lineup. Never use an impact driver on body screws, and apply silicone grease (never petroleum-based) to rubber grommets before removal so panels flex free without cracking.
